Our coaches are experienced and love what they do, and because they love what they do, they do that little bit extra. Our coaches are experienced in supervising large groups or supporting individual children and young people safely, expertly and appropriately.
All our coaches are fully qualified as coaches, as first aiders and are fully CRB checked.
Our coaches undergo continuing professional development to ensure that they always provide excellent service and are up to date with the latest legislation. They encourage a high standard of behaviour during sessions and support the principles of fair play and teamwork.
We believe in finding out what young people already know, and what they don't know. Then we work with them to build on their strengths and improve the areas that need development.
Brian Berthoud is our Head Coach and has worked for many years for Surrey County Cricket Club, where he excelled at a number of roles, including one to one training with young players of all abilities, running Academy days and coaching the Surrey Under 10s and 11s cricket team. Brian says "What I love about my job is helping children and young people develop their potential. It makes my day when I see a child becoming more confident or more able, or discovering a talent they never knew they had. It's easy to spot when you treat children and young people as individuals".
Adam Berthoud has played and participated in many sports including, cricket, football, tennis, rugby and many more. He has also been coaching for many years. Although he is one of our older team members, he is very energetic and enthusiastic. Adam Says "Coaching children has been very interesting over the years and there is nothing more exciting than seeing children achieve their dreams".
